Alpha Course
We are very excited to be offering ALPHA this Winter in 2 formats! The primary group meets live at Calvary Church for the Alpha service, but if you would like to join us while you are offsite, we will ZOOM you in for video and discussion with the live group!
WHAT IS ALPHA?
Alpha is a special service that is an introduction to Christianity that is designed to look at some of the predominant questions asked related to Jesus, Faith & the church.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Alpha is for literally anyone who is curious about what Christians believe and why they believe it. You do not need to be a part of the church or have any specific beliefs. The discussions are not in a format where you will be grilled on your beliefs, but it does talk about Jesus and faith related matters. Perhaps you already believe in Jesus but have nagging questions about your faith. Perhaps you’ve never thought about faith much before. Whatever... Alpha is for everyone!
HOW WILL THIS WORK? TWO WAYS!
ONLINE - from 715-830pm, Wednesdays February 2 thru April 6 - a link to the video material to a ZOOM video chat and a link to the Alpha video material will be given. You’ll watch the Alpha Course video while the LIVE group does, then you’ll have a chance to engage in questions and discussion about that weeks material with the LIVE group.
LIVE - from 6:45-8:30pm Wednesdays February 2 thru April 6 - the group will meet at the church in our Fireside Room at 6:45. A packaged takeout style dinner is available at this church service, watch the Alpha Course video, and have discussion. Everything will comply with current Health Ministry COVID-19 guidelines including physical spacing and masks. The evening should wrap up in the 8:30 zone. No childcare available.
