ALPHA, ALPH NEXT, GRIEFSHARE, SMALL GROUP, EQUIP TO SERVE, TEEN & KIDS PROGRAM!!!

We are very excited to be offering 4 different growth track this winter/spring! Read through below to see which one interests you. January 29 through April 30, beginning at 6:30pm for 11 weeks at the church with 3 weeks off for spring break (March 12,19,26). Starting with dinner at 6:30pm, or classes start at 7:00pm and run till 8:30pm sharp.

 

ALPHA

Alpha is an introduction to Christianity that is designed to look at some of the predominant questions asked related to Jesus, Faith & the church.

Alpha is for literally anyone who is curious about what Christians believe and why they believe it. You do not need to be a part of the church or have any specific beliefs. The discussions are not in a format where you will be grilled on your beliefs, but it does talk about Jesus and faith related matters. Perhaps you already believe in Jesus but have nagging questions about your faith. Perhaps you’ve never thought about faith much before. Whatever... Alpha is for everyone! WHAT QUESTIONS ARE COVERED?

  • Week 4: How Can We have Faith?
  • Week 5: Why and How Do I Pray?

  • Week 10: Why and How Should I Tell Others?

ALPHA NEXT

This is the companion course for those who have taken ALPHA and would like to learn more. We’ll have dinner together, then break out for a separate video series by Nicky Gumble and the Alpha Team. Followup questions throughout the small group portion allow you to express your thoughts and still be challenged by different perspectives.

GRIEFSHARE

Griefshare is a support group for people working through loss and the grieving process. The three main components of GriefShare: a video seminar, a personal workbook, and the support group experience.
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 11-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

EQUIP TO SERVE Level 1

Has your heart longed for stability in your walk with the Lord? The Equip to Serve class will mentor you in building deep roots into biblical practices of discipleship and how to simply and easily share your faith. The class will run for 11 weeks beginning January 29 7pm and provide an environment of safety and accountability. You have options to join in for dinner 630pm or only the classes from 7 to 830pm. Materials provided through Discipleship International and hosted by our Calvary members.

TEEN SMALL GROUP

Yippee ki-yay! No western themes... the phrase just sounds like fun! We’re glad to have the return of a teen small group on Wednesday nights. Dinner included, come hang out and we’ll talk relevant Bible stuff for the circumstances impacting your life. It’s different for everyone. Lets hang out, talk about it and get some useful Jesus input!

KIDS PROGRAM

We are so pleased to be offering a mid week kids program. There will be games, crafts and mayhem along with kids specific Bible lessons. This is for all kids in K-5 with a registered parent.

***NOTE*** if you are a parent in one of the adult classes you CAN register your kids for dinner as well and we’d be happy to have your whole family. If you are not participating in an adult class and dropping off your child for midweek program, do so at 7pm. There is not a drop off dinner for kids. There is not a kids program for children not yet in Kindergarten. Kids younger than Kindergarten are welcome but will stay with their parents.

To register, we’ll just need your name, email & phone number. There is a $40 cost per registrant to cover your food & drinks for the 11 weeks. From there, communicaitons will flow to make sure you get what resources you need. Hope you can join us and YES... you can bring a friend! If you are registering for kids club, make sure to select that option at registration.
